Painting and Staining in the Floral Park Historic District of Boulder, CO
Posted Sep 30, 2014
We recently were involved in a labor-intensive, but very rewarding, painting and staining project in the Floral Park Historic District. The home was being totally renovated, and as a part of that we were asked to help with interior and exterior painting, as well as the staining of the doors and woodwork inside the home.
The homeowner’s goal was to have all of the interior woodwork match the stain of their cabinets. We worked to create a perfect match, then carefully and systematically hand-rubbed the woodwork and doors. This often involved taping off and staining one section at a time!
Floor Staining
As it turned out, the flooring company was not able to match the floor sample that they had originally provided the homeowner, so we were asked to step in and stain the floors as well! This was a huge undertaking, but the finished product was absolutely beautiful.
What Do You Think?
We included some photos from the project, including shots of the floor covered in tape as we sometimes needed to work literally board by board to achieve exactly the right finish! Let us know what you think, and if you could use help with your next interior or exterior painting painting or staining project, why not contact us at Karen’s Company? We would love to put our services to work for you!
