Door Staining in Boulder, CO - New Life for an Old Finish

When you really stop to think about it, a lot is asked of your exterior stain and paint. Doors and siding face wind, rain, ice, snow, and the damage of relentless sun exposure, but you might still have the expectation that they should just keep looking fantastic all the time.

The truth is, time and weather are kind to no surface. To keep your property looking its best, a little exterior staining, painting, and maintenance is key.

Looking Beyond the Rough Exterior and Seeing What Stain Could Do

We recently finished a door-staining project in Boulder, specifically in the Devil’s Thumb neighborhood. These beautiful doors held incredible potential, with elegant craftsmanship and ornate details that spoke of an era gone by. As you can see, however, the surface was rough, weathered and worn:

After a thorough sanding to prepare the surface, stain application, and three coats of clear-coat, the transformation was complete:
