Karen Van Dehy - Boss
Karen has 14 years of professional painting experience, all of it working for herself with Karen’s Company. She has been painting furniture, fences and houses for herself and other people since she was thirteen years old. She has a degree in physiology and genetics, but paints houses because she enjoys it. She has taken 5 classes in faux finishing from the Faux Finish Institute and three other professional studios. She consistently practices faux/decorative finishes and the effects of different colors in her own home.

Al – Crew Leader
Al was hired when he told Karen that he wanted to do work that he could be proud of.  He is from Boston and was trained by an extremely meticulous contractor who once made an employee pound nails with a rock because he forgot his hammer.  Al likes to come prepared.  His greatest passions in life are rock climbing and his band, HelicopterBearShark.  Look them up on the web!  He is very friendly and gets only positive comments from our clients!  For our customers who feel like making treats for our crew, Al prefers his gluten-free, but no one else on the crew minds gluten.

Danielle – Crew Leader
Danielle has been working for Karen’s Company since 2009 and is also Karen’s niece.  She is very artistic and extremely talented at faux, there are many things she does even better than Karen!  Danielle is quick to laugh and loves to join in with Karen in singing while working. Our clients find Danielle extremely pleasant to have in their home.


JR - Crew Leader
JR has been painting since1995 and boy! does he know a lot!  He enjoys painting, especially the exterior projects because he likes to be outside. He has a son who plays soccer and JR coaches the team.  Other hobbies include riding dirt bikes and 4-wheeling. JR says the thing he likes a lot about working for Karen’s Company is when he is in charge of a crew and his client is really happy with how their house looks when we are finished. We are happy that JR takes pride in how his crew performs and that he feels it is very important to have our clients satisfied.

Zeke – Son of Boss
Zeke receives education in painting at an early age…Who knows?

Jeff-Manager 

Jeff joined Karen's Company in 2011 as a Business Manager. He supports the owner,

staff and painting crews through all aspects of Operations, Estimating, Sales, Finances, Marketing, Human Resources and Business Development.

Jeff comes to Karen's Company after a first career in biotechnology. “I am still interested in science. The art of applying the right paint color paint and the physics and chemistry of making sure it lasts are two of the most important aspects of a successful paint job.”

Working for his wife's company is a terrific experience. “Karen has always been passionate about painting – she gets such great satisfaction from every completed job and happy customer.
